It was waking me up in the morning, and while vibrating on the night stand, it just fell off due to all the phone's movement.

Since then, the home button stopped working and then returned, I keep getting a message about connecting an iPod accessory although nothing is connected, I keep getting "No service", shutting down the phone causes a restart, and when I connected the phone to my iMac, I was warned that the connected device was drawing too much power from the USB connection and therefore the USB connection has been disabled (nice touch by Apple, BTW!).

Worst thing: I'm in Israel with a hacked iPhone so I can't do anything about it. :(

Oh well,

In June I'm in the states again so I'll probably get a new one anyway :).

have you bunged it into recovery mode to try and restore?

I can't.

Battery ran out, and I can't charge it, probably due to that message of "device is drawing too much power".

Charging with the charger doesn't work either.
