Just got a new Eufy indoor 2k camera and wanted to connect it to the Homekit, but even is im far away from my home, im still seeing the "blue" dot on the camera windows preview ( check screenshots below ). It never turns red when im away, which means that the camera isnt active for recording.

Location settings are turned ON (check screenshot below for exakt settings). My Apple TV 4K (connected via cable to router) has "homekit" always enabled. In Apple maps, i have set my home adress as "home". Im using the 2TB icloud account.
Im using the iPhone 11 PRO Max on iOS 14.4
And still im NOT getting the red dot ( check screenshot below ) when leaving my home (even more than 10km away). As i understand, the red dot means that im not "home".
What more settings have i missed? Ive been trying to find a solution to this for 3 days now.

This is really getting annoying.

My settings:
Camera window preview:
Location GPS settings:
EUFY camera notification settings in homekit app:

Update:

So i just tried to create an automation on when i leave the home, it will power on my bedroom charger at home, which it did (screenshot, the sovrum laddare is the automated that went on when i left home

But the Eufy indoor cam (2k version) was still set at streaming (i have streaming + recording set when im away). I also had the blue dot all the time (no red dot).

This is starting to get really strange. Why isnt the Camera switching mode to streaming and recording when im outside my home area?

Update: Is suddenly start working after i hard rebooted my Apple TV 4K. Strange!

Good solution. The AppleTV is the hub for HomeKit and one of the only ways to use HomeKit devices when not on the same network. Sounds like something got mixed up there (or your AppleTV had an update it needed to install).

Glad you got it working.
