My iPhone 7 Plus shipped from China, to Korea then to Kentucky (no surprise)... and I thought it might be delivered today in Florida.

... but no, it was apparently sent all the way back overseas to Hong Kong. Then it flew across the ocean again to Alaska.

Where will it go next? :)

It's out for delivery today. My original estimated ship date was Sept. 27, so I'm still getting it early.

I'm not sure if the iPhone actually ever did get sent back overseas or not... maybe it was just a paperwork mishap, but seeing it pin back and forth on the map in the Deliveries app sure did look weird.

I fear that this will happen to my device. Original date was 9/23, then last night was updated to 9/26, then this morning back to 9/23, then an hour later back to 9/26.

I reached out to @UPSHelp on Twitter, and they are currently looking it up. I'm sure I'll get some PR spewed nonsense, but I would love to get my phone tomorrow rather than wait a full weekend until Monday...

Mine's in the same status as yours. Unexpected behavior from UPS, they're usually pretty good about this kind of thing. Unfortunately, I can't randomly take off a block of days to wait at home for it, so I've just diverted it to the local UPS store and I'll pick it up when it arrives. I'm still getting it earlier than the original date Apple promised...maybe. We'll see.

It's written local time, so it's just an interface issue... Hong kong is 12 hours in front of Louisville...

My iPhone 7 plus (matte black) had an original delivery date of 9/21. Apple said they showed an estimated delivery date between 9/23-9/27, but UPS had updated that to be delivered 9/21. Now it's been stuck in South Korea for the last 3 days and neither Apple nor UPS can tell me where it is or when it can be delivered. It's also been stuck with a status of delivery information unavailable for the last 3 days as well. Apple claims it got held up by bad weather, but that was only a short window when UPS showed a status of weather issues, not 3 days worth. I just want my phone...

Had this happen with my MacBook Pro. When I looked into details of the UPS tracking, I saw several changes of delivery address. The "bouncing back and forth" is what clued me in. I then noticed the deliver to address had been changed to an address in the Midwest. I contacted UPS, told them I did not request delivery address changes.

UPS put me in contact with Fraud division at Apple, who was finally (after several more attempts by an unknown party to change the delivery address) able to convince UPS the delivery changes were fraud. I finally had to speak with a supervisor at UPS to arrange personal pickup., and to only deliver it to a UPS facility, where I would pick it up.

Turns out UPS "recycles" old tracking numbers. If someone is able to intercept the tracking number of your new phone / device, they redirect it, assign an old tracking number to it, then change the delivery address. In my case, the new destination was a "drop box" in the Midwest. The bouncing back and forth between China and Anchorage is identical to what I saw with my package. Apple had seen this before, so was aware of the scam.

When I went to the UPS facility to pick up the package, the person at the desk was quite familiar with the scam. She stated "they're starting early this year. Usually we don' t see this until the holiday shipping starts.

Mine went from China to Korea, back to China with no departure scan, back to Korea, then to Hong Kong, now in transit, I assume somewhere over the pacific.

Makes no sense.

Ours must be on the same shipment as my UPS tracking shows the exact same information lol

My iPhone was delivered yesterday. It's glorious!

The weird shipping behavior is annoying but hang in there.
