Hi there.

I'm having an issue with my iPod touch 3g that I recently got for my Birthday. :(

The audio stopped working all together one day after a reboot - that is, when it's not plugged into my PC, when it is, it works fine. The speakers won't work, nor will the headphones. But the strange thing is, that the alarm will work perfectly no matter what. To try and resolve this problem, I tried upgrading to from 3.1.1 to 3.1.2, and no luck. I really don't want to have to send this in to apple, so if there is anything you guys know about this, please, tell me what I can do.

Thanks,

Alien. :(

Unfortunately, that sounds like a hardware problem, which means you'll have to contact Apple. There's no point in DIY fixes for hardware that's still under warranty, getting it replaced through Apple is the most simple and painless solution.
