iPod touch My iPod Touch 4g won't jailbreak.

I've tried using Greenp0ison. The 'loader' icon is white and won't open. I've tried using Sn0wbreeze 2.1...It makes the ipsw file but then itunes gives me a 3194 error...I was told to try adding '74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com' to the hosts files in Windows>Drivers>Etc>hosts...Tried it...Didn't work...What am I doing wrong? What can I do to make this work?

I would try restoring to factory settings on 4.2.1. And then try GreenPois0n untethered or Redsn0w tethered.
