    • 3G+Wi-Fi (no calling or SMS) model and Wi-Fi model
    • Larger screen like the rumoured iPhone 5G's
    • Better resolution cameras (about 5 megapixels)
    • Thinner than the iPod touch 4G
    • Rotate home and lock screen like iPad

I don't see the point of 3G in iPod Touch. It will make it an iPhone. Its basically the main difference.

The iPad has 3G but you can't call or SMS. The iPod touch should get that too.

NO WAY! Give us at least 8-10 MegaPixels, and I'm fine with it. 1080p is a must, and improve the colors! It may be 720p, but judging at the videos taken, it looks like 360p. I can't see the details! And I want larger sensors! And night photography support! Huge depth of field! Flash!

And 3G. That's the only reason I have an iPhone instead of the iPod touch. 3G. I need it badly.

Yep. You're right but then you could still use apps like Skype, Voxer, Viber and place internet-based calls which carriers don't like and it could save lots of people the effort of buying an iPhone. The difference between and iPod and iPad will just be the size. I get the feeling it will compete with the iPhone and don't think either Apple or phone carriers will like it. But it is totally possible so, who knows.

The main requirement on the new iPod Touch is more RAM.
