I am unable to log-in to my macbook as my keyboard is typing symbols and consequently my password is incorrect. :( What can I do to change the keyboard back to normal mode? I do not want to lose everything on my computer as it is not backed-up.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
    Thanks

Weird. Any idea how you did that?

    Were you in System Preferences?

Connect an external keyboard, then login and figure out what's causing this.

I'll bet some smart-*** friend went into your keyboard preferences and switched you to a foreign keyboard. My Norwegian wife does that on my iMac all the time and it can throw you a curve.

Giulo is right... external keyboard may well solve the problem.
