I am unable to log-in to my macbook as my keyboard is typing symbols and consequently my password is incorrect. :( What can I do to change the keyboard back to normal mode? I do not want to lose everything on my computer as it is not backed-up.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
Thanks

No idea how I did it! I cannot even access the system to find my preferences. Cannot put my disk in to reset ......nothing!

Guily - you are star:) Now I need to try and get this back to normal - any suggestions?

I'll bet some smart-*** friend went into your keyboard preferences and switched you to a foreign keyboard. My Norwegian wife does that on my iMac all the time and it can throw you a curve.

Giulo is right... external keyboard may well solve the problem.
