I was browsing on the P22 font site and I tried out a font demonstration by typing in the given field when the keyboard on my 2017 iPad separated into two sections. See photo. I couldn’t find any answers in Google and it was so horrible trying to type with the keyboard in two pieces I decided to reset and start again. Fortunately it hasn’t afffected my old iPad Air 2 which seemed to run in synch with the other iPad.
Does anyone know why this would happen? How to fix it apart from wiping the iPad?
Thanks guys. Any thoughts on this welcome.

Hold the keyboard button on the far right bottom and drag the keyboard back down again. The option of sliding it up and splitting it is there for those who wish to thumb type on the iPad (not available on the 12.9”).
