CANADA? eh?
I tried the my location on the iPod touch and its way off

Its around 5 miles away from my house?

My house (and surrounding) has around 6 wifi access points?

Why is this so off? It really does suck...my location

Nothing will ever be as good as a real GPS chip. Don't worry, it can't find my house either, but it does get close.

Better than starting from a map of the world and having to find your place manually. I usually treat non-gps locators as a way to find where I am. Even on my phone, my location isn't anything to brag about (cell towers go down and throws the whole triangulation out of wack). Maybe some wifi spot moved or got turned off?

5 miles ?

My Location shows me 1,262 miles from where i am located... Can't rely on this info... Thinking about getting a gps...

I don't what makes the variation for the location, but get this...

I live in Montreal, Canada. Right now, I'm sitting in the computer room in my apartment and the "locate me" features sports me right on.

If I go to my bed room, right across the hall, "localize me" puts me in the middle of Kansas, US!!!

Isn't the iPod Touch is a great?
It permits teleportation! :D;)

It refuses to even look for me @ home, but at school it's fairly spot-on, building/relative location within the building and all.
