I got mine today, and I have same thoughts about the sound, it's not premium, but yeah, I wondered where the sounds were coming from initially as I wasn't willing to believe it was coming from the Mini 🙂

Power usage! It’s insanely low. My desktop would capture video at 200-225 watts my Mini 14 watts to an external NVmE and thunderbolt powered capture device!

Yeah, the speaker is actually usable. It's impressive. I mean it's not great, but it's at least usable. The previous ones were basically unusable.

Max Tech really annoy me but that was an interesting video. I almost bought an M2 Pro before the M4 was released, and that would have been 16GB 512GB. Glad to see the M4 perform better in a lot of those tests.

I'm glad I saw this thread, as I'd have never tested it. The speaker is indeed good enough for podcasts, etc., and unlike the mediocre speakers in my non-Apple monitor, I can use the media keys on my keyboard to control the volume/mute.
