What Mac? What year was it made? What OS was it running before this happened? Do you have a backup?

S Samuelsan2001 macrumors 604 Oct 24, 2013 7,729 2,153 Jun 13, 2016 #6 Yeah looks like your hard drive has died, without a back up you could have lost everything. As others say try to repair the disk and then do an immediate back up. Then it'll need a new hard drive to be honest.
