Call Apple they will tell you how to do it. Damage from a storm isn't covered by the warranty though. Next time get a really good UPS or at least a surge protector.

Check with your homeowner's insurance or renter's insurance company first. If you file a claim they will want that open before you send it for repair. If covered, they will pay less the deductible.
