Hello, I've got some PTSD from my iMac 2020 that I had to eventually sell and trade for a new setup recently. That iMac was crashing over and over and it eventually killed the motherboard a second time.

Anyways, I was working on my Mac Mini M2 Pro that I bought earlier this year (jan-feb), nothing crazy, and it randomly stopped.

When booting up, no crash report or anything similar, no information on what happened so I'm a bit worried.

Is there a way to run some check or to review the history of errors/crashes?

I didn't have any issue with it so far (thankfully…)

I appreciate any input to help me 🙏

OP:

Trying to make sense of your original post.

What does "randomly stopped" actually MEAN?

Hey sorry if that was unclear, I meant by this that the computer suddenly turned off and it didn't restart. It's like if there was a power outage that would randomly cut it you know (there was no power outage).

And I had to start it manually after, and no crash error message was displayed, it's like there was no issue.

Mine did that once, a few months back. Bought it 14 months ago. Like yours, no crash report or any other reflection of something being amiss. I was rather alarmed but since then it’s been fine. No idea what the problem was.

OP:

Did this happen only one time?

Or... has it repeated?

If only once... and it's been doing ok since... I'd let it go at that.
