Hello everybody, I am a photographer and after working many years with Windows I recently got me a Macbook Pro with Mac OS X. I have always heard very good things about Mac and I was quite excited to give it a try myself but unfortunately my experience so far is pretty bad. In fact my Mac keeps crashing! The most critical thing seems to be copying files around, especially when using external hard disks. The worst is copying stuff to or from a time capsule wirelessly, seriously most of the attempts to copy stuff make the mac crash. The colorful mouse pointer just keeps spinning forever, the Mac becomes totally unresponsive (I have to turn it off with the shutdown key on the keyboard), the copied folder becomes grayed out and i cannot access it (but I can with Windows). Once I had the very bad idea of moving files (instead of copying) and it just crashed, the display even went black and I completely lost many of the files I was moving :-( Last time yesterday it crashed when I entered the time machine... I have the feeling having a time capsule connected wirelessly makes things worse (for example once it crashed when I just tried to open the shared drive in it) but I am not really sure about that Is it just me having bad luck or is simply Mac OS that is not very stable, or am I doing something wrong (but what can I do so wrong just copying files...)? I mean, with Windows 7 something like this never ever happened to me but my Mac crashes almost once a day... Thanks!
