I had a folder where I kept various files and currently it has gone missing. Yet when I go onto pages, it finds and can open the files. What's the problem and how do I fix it?

Also on a side note.....how do I rehide hidden files?

Thanks much appreciated.

If you can open a file with Pages, click File > Save As and look at the folder where it's saving it. That's where the document resides.

Um not sure what your problem is, but I can help you find your files.

If you go into Pages and open the 'lost' files. Click File> Save As. It will now show the location of the lost file, the proceed to that location in finder.

To re-hide hidden files go into terminal and type in "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -bool false" (without the quotes, this is case sensitive) at the command. Relaunch the finder by typing in "killall Finder" without the quotes and remembering the case sensitivity.
