My MacBook air does not want to turn on. The power plug does show the green charging light, but my laptop does not want to turn on. And I have tried the Shift + Control+ Option+ Power buttons process and it did not work.
Please help!
Lesquivel.

Disconnect the battery, replace the bottom cover, and connect the charger. Don't touch the machine and, hopefully, it will turn itself on in about 30 seconds. If it turns on, reconnect the battery and try again.

How do you open an Early 2014 MBA and “disconnect the battery”?

crazy my macbook 2014 air just crapped out on me too about a week ago. Just got a replacement battery in the mail today and will try to replace the battery.

Still has the OEM battery in it when purchased.

Did all the tricks in posted here with no luck now to change the battery

[doublepost=1516816102][/doublepost]I sent my Early-2014 MacBook Air to Square Trade for repair in December after spending an hour on the phone with one of their Tech Support guys. I kept the machine disconnected from a power supply for 3 days while I waited from the shipment box from Square Trade to arrive. On Day 3, I tried booting the disconnected machine and it magically turned on! Still, I shipped it and my power supply, thinking the repair crew might be able to figure out why I’d been unable boot it for several weeks. It was eventually returned to me with a report saying nothing was wrong! About a month later (last Friday), I was unable to boot the machine again. It had been plugged into a UPC battery backup for a couple of weeks. I made an appointment with a local Apple Authorized Repair outfit (the 2 nearest Apple Stores were booked up for several weeks), then unplugged the machine and let it sit over the weekend. On Monday, before leaving for my appointment, I tried booting the machine and again it worked! I told the repair outfit all this when I brought the machine in and am now waiting to hear from them.

hope you get it figured out..

I replaced my battery yesterday and it instantly booted up. So it was the battery that caused the air to die.

Took maybe 10 mins to replace and costed me $35 on amazon for the battery
