My macbook cd-rw drive has gone from smooth to noisy

I dont know why this has happend just recently,,, it all still works but just makes this horrible repetitive noise.

Anyone have similar problems

Maybe try checking to see that nothing's been caught in there. A stray CD label may be the problem, or excess dust. Maybe try blowing some air through it too, just to remove some of the dust. 🙂
