Apart from the trackpad comment (I love it), 100% agree on the rest!
It’s a flop.
The touch bar would be my most hated feature ever though, by a lot!

Still, an improvement over my a1398
Just...

Between the keyboard crumb issue, the Thunderbolt 3/5K Display issues, the anti-user Touch Bar and trackpad and the lack of 32GB of RAM, I can't imagine why anyone would buy one of these pieces of garbage.

There’s more issues than that, this has been by a LONG shot the most unstable MacBook I have had.
While none have been perfect (although the 2009 17” was close) and all have stability issues, this one is crazy, crashes every couple days. Gets stuck in standby, so on.
Also you can be happily typing away then letters start missing, because of the crappy keyboard design.
The 0 tactile feedback of the useless touchbar
The fact your always borderline running out of RAM
The overheating (try using one of these in the sun in summer, you have under a minute before it’s throttled to unusable)
The performance is shocking

I really like the notebook, it just needs these things.
1. USB A and USB C ports
2. A decent keyboard
3. 32gb RAM
4. Physical F keys and the fingerprint sensor
5. Thicker, for more battery and better thermals

Pretty much, the last generation!

If they did everything you mentioned, I would've kept mine and probably loved it. And I'm 100% sure Apple would have sold more laptops.

These new laptops are a mess.
