Yesterday evening, I was charging my MBP, and as I went to go plug in my phone to the USB port, the screen went completely black. I have NOT been able to re-start it.
I changed electrical outlets, so I ruled out that possible problem of it not charging.
Whenever I plug in the charger to the side, the green light comes on, but it is very dim and flashes. I know for a fact my MPB was not fully charged when my phone was plugged in.

I also tried the SMC reboot instructions to the letter, and they have not worked either.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated; I really just want this thing to start!

Somewhere!
I would say it's time to make a Genius appointment and take it in and have it looked at. That may all you will be able to do for now. Let the experts have a look at it.

Agree with reply #2.

If it's still under warranty, let the Apple techs have a look at it...

I'll third the Genius bar recommendation. And bring your charger too, in case there is a problem with that.
