My Macbook Pro dims the external Display when I watch movie!!!!!

I have my macbook connected to HDMI to my sony tv. whenever i watch a movie the display is constantly dimming and coming back up. anyone know why this happens?
 
My Sony TV has a feature that optimizes brightness due to ambient light. Make sure it's turned off. It's called Light Sensor
