My Early (2008) MacBook Pro shuts down after 3-5 min when running on battery even when the battery is charged all the way. I have to keep it plugged in for it to not shut down. I went to the apple store they swapped batteries and that did not solve the issue. They wanted to charge me $380 for a new logic board, the logic board was already replaced do to graphics failure. This all started after I installed that SMC Firmware 1.3 update on June, May 29. Can I re-install the update or downgrade thanks.

Don't think the SMC is going to make a difference. It was only for fan control. I reckon it's down to a logic board if they have already checked for battery.
