my macbook pro wont let me install anything

This been going on for awhile now and i'm getting tired of it. It wont let my install anything not even updates for my computer. Normally before this it would ask for my password before installing anything and now it wont even ask for it. So when i click on install nothing happends. Does anyone else have this same problem and know how to fix it?🙁
