Hello All
Yesterday, my macbook turned off automatically. Now when i press the power button, the isight led light blinks and there is no other indication of any sort. when i let go the power button, the blinking stops. Whats wrong?

Even though it won't boot - have you tried booting it from a CD?
Then, go to Disk Utility (if it boots) and see what the SMART status of your drive is.
If it says failing or failed, you need a new hard drive. If it says verified, try reinstalling the OS and if it boots after that it may have been firmware or software.
If not, the issue may be logic board.

it doesnt even power on, only iSight led light flickers till the power button is pressed. When its released, that light turns off too.

If it won’t even boot off of an install DVD my guess is logic board. I would suggest taking it into apple to be looked at.

hope this works

try hold power button&command for couple of seconds.seems weird that the light dies when releasing the power button😱
