You should have gotten a less expensive model and invested in a higher resolution display.

Congrats! Looks like a few other goodies arrived as well. ACDs probably won't be redesigned until Nehalem. There may well be a refresh with newer panels before then. I just purchased the Dell 3008WFP which is really quite amazing; 2 DVI-D ports, HDMI, DisplayPort, and several analog ports (VGA, component, composite) on top of 100% NTSC color gamut.

now all you need is a bigger bedroom! :D

You should just get rid of your chair and pull the bed up a couple of inches.

Ahh, the good ole days of college.

My Mac Pro is finally here too! I was busy all day and finally now I've decided to take the opportunity to spring clean a little, dust off the area behind the the old G5 PowerMac and start with a clean slate. :D

Apple does make me feel inspired to bring out the mop and duster.

Anyway, I am installing apps now. Will do some data transfer later.

Leave the guy alone, he's happy about his Mac Pro. Why bite and bother him about his bedroom and monitor?

Congrats on the purchase man, welcome to the club. That's a very nice setup. Are you planning on adding more RAM? Also, don't count on an new ACD anytime soon, do yourself a favor and get the current ACD! You will not be disappointed.

wow you really need to get a new monitor. What the hell are you going to do with a 8x3.2GHz machine and a 16" screen!! Don't tell me you're one of these 'coders'

Congrats on your machine. My 3.2/8800 arrived yesterday; I'd just ordered it on Friday of last week, so that was some damn fast turn-around. :) I added 8GB of OWC RAM for a total of 10G. So far, everything seems to be chugging along fine.

Awesome!!! It took me awhile to set up my new Mac Pro the afternoon it came. I just sat there and stared at it until my breathing came back to manageable levels. Even after a week with my beast, I still catch myself sitting back and staring at it. Enjoy:D

awesome man, grats on the comp. I got mine last week. LOVE IT. Just wish my sciatica wasn't acting up so I could really use it. I still have a ton of software I need to install.
