    Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

When did you place your order?
I placed my order for a rev b yesterday, and Apple said it's going to ship toy house on the 19th of Dec. :(

:( Irvine Spectrum says no on stock.
Guess I should start carrying my $1650 gift card around in the event I need to run to the Apple store.

Apple had placed the order for me. I have the Rev A but when I sent it off for repairs in Texas, it came back damaged so they offered to replace it with the rev B. I had them upgrade to the 1.86. I don't know when they actually placed the order but I do know it was sometime around when the ssd's were released because they had originally told me I would be getting mine alot sooner but surprise surprise, it's been about three weeks now lol.

I'm guessing it may be easier to order online and hopefully if it happens to come while I'm away I'll still get it.

I just called the Irvine Spectrum again and was told they were in stock. As I was plotting my escape from work I called back because there was a way the girl formed her words that suggested she would be wrong.

Turns out my intuition was correct. The Irvine Spectrum Store does not have the base HDD model in stock, nor have they yet. This time I asked for a manager in hopes I would not be wasting my time.

/shrugs This may be where online prevails.

OP when you get yours I think benchmarks are in order!
    :D

Absolutely! Just let me know how and I will take care of it. My MBA Rev A was my first Mac so I'm still new to all of the hardware testing but if you let me know how to do it, I certainly will right when I open it. Hell, I'll even give you an unboxing video!

You will probably receive yours before mine because of your location. Let us know how you like it!

Could this be a SSD? I read on another thread they are upgrading people to the SSD for free who ordered the HDD a month ago and have been waiting... Can you double check the details of the order to confirm HDD?

^^ It was actually stated on their order. It was as though their order was cancelled and replaced by apple with another order but for an SSD model at the same price.

More on benchmark testing when I get home. :)

I doubt I will be receiving the SSD model although I did call the guy I have been dealing with to confirm the specs. I left a message so I will let you know when he gets back to me.

    OT: Anyone here from NYC?

I think she meant she will elaborate on benchmark testing because I had asked how it is done in an earlier post.

No. :( I would have called everyone I knew and posted in length. And I'd be home right now playing with it!
    Yeah that. ;)

You can check your order specs on the apple store page. Edit: just realized you didn't order online, then this might not work...

    Hey just got word from
Apple. Apparently I am getting the ssd. Was that an error or a reward for being patient? SSD FTW!

Definitely! Now I have to correct my signature that says hdd. This has totally made my day as I asked only to upgrade the processor!
