I've had my MBP for a couple of months now, and have never really noticed the fans (even when the computer would get pretty hot in some parts), but two days ago the fans came on right as I turned on the computer. Keep in mind that I wasn't running anything yet. I wouldn't think much of it, but the noise of the fans was relatively loud and didn't sound right. I had to restart the computer to turn them off. They have started up twice more since two days ago but not necessarily after turning the computer on, and never has the computer been hot to warrant the fans.

Here's a sound clip I recorded with my iPhone:

Does this sound normal? Should I set up an appointment? I want to set up an appointment, but I don't know if they will be able to voluntarily make the fans start up to check if there is a problem.

I'm just going to take it to Apple. It's been turning on more consistently now, and it doesn't sound natural.
