My Midnight Blue leather case for 6 Plus is holding up amazing since launch. Granted, I did add some Armor All leather care which made it more supple and protective.

To those who are saying their midnight blue cases have 'worn' where they handle the phone - you either have some seriously grubby hands or are holding your phones REALLY tightly to the point that you are literally just wearing down the leather where you are gripping the case?!!!

I have had my midnight blue case since the iPhone 6 release day and I can 100% say that there are no 'wear' marks whatsoever. No darkening of the edges or corners or even where I touch the case to hold the phone. It still looks 100% like new, as if its just come out the box.

I would say you're in the minority when it comes to 'wear' on leather. leather does wear over time, it's natural for it to. Although this leather is wearing so quickly than normal leather does makes me think it's something different. it has nothing with us gripping our phones a certain way, the natural oils in our skin is what's causing the darkening on the edges. see my picture on the 2nd page of this thread.

I'm on my third midnight blue case, the first one i sold and regretted it. Second one discoloured way too easily. Hopefully thirds a charm

Did it make it slick with the leather care? I like the way it feels now but I want to use something to protect it.

Been using leather lotion on all my goods for years. Definite must to keep leather from drying out. Also cleans and protects. Works great on my Midnight Blue & Sena leather pouch.

Sorry for bumping but, does anyone else actually puts lotion or conditioner on their leather cases?

I thought that was meant for shoes, bags and purses, but seems odd using it on iphone cases.

Does Apple have something to say about that? Weren't the cases originally designed to wear?

I got a brand-new leather case after I left my old on an invisible water spot from a soda can (left a stain that's noticeable), so now I wonder if I should use leather products on my case or just being more careful in the future would do it.

Let's hope more people chime in and share their thoughts. I'd like to get some pros and cons. Maybe it's not worth it.

I need to make a conscious choice though.

Wowow

That case looks so pretty!! I also like the fact that the apple logo is imprinted onto the back of the case!! The price isn't bad as well! Well worth the price just by looking at the image. HAHA :apple:

Yes. But not everyone. It's your choice to do what you think is best.

I'm a big fan of the Apple Care for leather. I use it on all my leather products after I do an initial spray with the stain protector also from Apple Care. This combination treatment keeps stains and water damage at bay and also gives the best soft feel for the leather.
