So the title isnt completely accurate. What actually happened, was I recorded a movie on my digital camera SD card, it is a canon, and then I accidentally deleted it! I was able to recover the file, it is 1 gb large, but it is a jpg file! I know it is the movie because it is so large, but for some reason it recovered with the jpg, not mov. SO, I googled, and read some articles about just changing the ending to "mov". I did, and after waiting a few minutes while my computer took forever to process it, I opened the file, but it only shows the very first frame of my movie, and thats it. I am wondering if there is a way to extract the video from the jpg file, since i know it is in there. (or could it be gone, and the 1 gb is just nothing?) I have tried changing the endings to .mov, .mp4, .mpg, and none of them work. They all just show the very first frame and last only about 3 seconds of the same frame as a movie. please, if there is a program I could download, or something I could buy to extract the video or convert it from jpeg to mov, that would be greatly appreciated!
