I noticed that..so i just restored my iPhone 3G

Yes restore you Iphone 3G when you get home...it will then download the new firmware. You want the new firmware it is better.

Is it really worth it to upgrade from 5A345 to 347?? I know I have 345 on my iPhone 3G from an AT&T store and it lags a little from when I touch a name on my contacts to when it shows the info for that person. Would 347 fix this?? w/e I'm just going for it... it can only help, not hurt.

When i got my 3giphone the apps were crashing like crazy. I restored on itunes to 5a347 and its perfect now. It also fixed the yellow tint on my phone. BTW aurora is the best game alive. Im addicted. Too bad the battery dies quick as crap when playing it without it charging at the same time.

if you click restore it updates it to the newer one? even if you never had a iphone to begin with? or you had to of had 347 on a 2g iphone for this to work?

isnt 347 not a final version?

Do you guys know what the differences are between the two? I have 5A347 running and all I know is that my battery is draining very quickly. I'm doing a test now with all services turned off to compare.

battery drains pretty quick on both versions

Mine's insane. Just had it in my pocket and it had a full charge. Three hours later I start to watch a movie and 1 hour into it I get a message stating my battery has less than 20% charge. That's absolute crap. Didn't even make a phone call or surf.

Turn 3G off when you're not using it as well as GPS.

I'd swear (at the moment, anyway) that the newer firmware fixed the problem I was having with the keyboard being *really* slow when texting. It happened a lot before doing a restore, hasn't happened once since then.

Does restoring lose all of your settings, text messages, music, etc? Or can you back this up first, restore the firmware, then restore the backup?

I updated to the latest frimware this morning and it seemed to fix the lag in the contacts search screen, however the lag is back now after a few hours. Quite bothersome, you can't do a simple search for a contact.

I disabled the Location Services for now, not sure what else can be done until another update fixes it.
