then why does vodafone and apple in australia recognise the problem and are willing to replace??
dont all iphones have an lcd??
why havent we had this issue before??
why should we put up and shut up and not demand a replacement??
i would have got my car dealer to throw in a pair of new glasses, but you probably bought your car from a company with a millionth of the reputation of quality and superior user experience than apple!!!!
in new south wales australia we have probably the best consumer rights in the world, not only will vodafone replace any faulty unit before 28 days but i also have apple itself to go to!

how much do the drugs u take cost??
go find another thread to troll on!

Why Apple is doing it I have no idea. But at some point, don't be too surprised if they stop.

I would recommend that that auto makers also change their windshields and rear windows because they don’t look correct when I wear my glasses.

Yep Oakley polarized sunglasses I have makes my screen unreadable almost--I just take my glasses off. IF you dont want to take sunglasses OFF to correct problem, I suggest sell the Iphone and go Droid

Not a green tint. Fully GREEN. Like looking at a monochrome monitor from 1982.

My iphone 3gs screen looks normal.

Can anything be done? It is almost unusable with polarized sunglasses.

Polarised glasses are problem. Talking from an optical point of few. If u turn iPhone 360 degrees slowly, there should be a point were it's better and far worse. The polarised lenses work at a 90 degree angle.

I bet you have these ;)

There is clearly a variation in the screens used between the 4 and 4s and probably also between different 4s's even though they carry the same model number. Not everyone has the color changing with polarized sunglasses. My 4 has no color change at any angle with polarized sunglasses.

Well the 4s one is polarised, were 4 isn't. Both at 90 degree opposites should black out screen, hence the whole digital screen thing with most LCD devices.

Green or blacked out. Turn one 90 degrees other way, should clear up.

FYI, I have found that SOME clear screen protectors will correct this problem. I tried the cheapo free one from an Incipio case and it worked. Anti glare ones seem not to.

Thanks will peel off expensive anti glair ant smudge and try

They only look weird when viewing through your glasses and your windshield, dopey

I had this problem with my 4S as well, so I returned it. I use my iPhone while wearing sunglasses all of the time. My iPhone 4 looks normal while wearing sunglasses. I wasn't aware at the time that putting on a protector might help the problem, so I may give the 4S another try and see if that works. I bought the white 4S, but I tested the black model at the store and it looked the same, though it wasn't quite as intense as the green tint was on the white one I had.

Here is a pic of the iPhone 4S that I returned next to my iPhone 4. This picture was taken through my sunglasses.
