iPod My new iPod won't sync!!!

Whenever I connect my iPod to iTunes, I get a an error message that says: " The iPod 'aBe's iPod' cannot be updated. An unknown error occurred (-50)" and another one that says: " The iPod 'aBe's iPod' cannot be updated. The disk could not be read from or written to" Any help is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like it could either be a bad hard drive or power cable... but I'm not really experienced with that, so I wouldn't know. I think you should probably try to return it.

Have you tried restoring the iPod yet?
