My new Mac Pro 2.8 is as quiet as my old Intel C2D iMac...

    Intel seems very confident in 45nm when the chop their stock heatsinks in half from the 65nm ones.

    I want a 45nm chip now!

    That is outstanding to hear - a whisper quite Mac Pro. :cool: I'm not sure if this heat and fan reduction will translate to the portables, but I sure hope so.

    I do hear the drive scratching away when it reads and writes, but have two Samsung F1's on the way, and if they are as quiet as billed, I will probably pull the 320 and put it in a case and attach it in the closet.

    doesn't the video card make noise? It has a fan right?
