I bought a refurbished macbook from the apple store about 2 months ago. I haven't installed anything new (aside from firefox) and it freezes more and more everyday. I don't get the spinning ball.. It completely freezes (cursor wont even move) and I have to restart. It froze once a few days ago and it has double every day. I think i'm at 5 times today! It happens when I use safari and firefox.

on another note if anyone can guess why this happens..- when I open applications, my computer makes the sound of an ejecting disk.
I'd appreciate any help I can get. I'm really bummed. I read good things about refurbished computers and then i get this!

Thanks!

That's rare, usually the refurbs are good as new from what I've heard.

Do you have a system install disk by any chance? I would try reinstalling the system (whatever version you have).

I know! I bought my girlfriend a macbook air at the same time and hers is full of problems. It lags and her return button works half the time.

I think we just need to make a trip to the apple store.

Try reinstalling OSX before you send it away.
