Hi

My new series 5 watch cannot upgrade the software. I purchased a new AW S5 yesterday. When trying to download OS 6.0.1 it said error cannot cannot contact AW, try again or something similar.

now it just says my software is up to date 6.0! I can’t get to 6.0.1. Is this normal ?

I'm getting the same thing on my wife's new S5. I think there must be something wrong with Apple's servers. There is a similar thread here with people have issues trying to upgrade.

This happens if either I restore from a backup or set up as a new watch. I cannot get past 6.0. Yet, if if I unpair my series 5 watch and then pair my series 4 watch and restore from a backup, I have 6.0.1.

Also when I try to pair my series 5 watch, sometimes I get a cannot connect to the watch message or stranger yet, it asks me if I want to restore to the factory defaults at the end of the restoration. I don’t understand.

People should call Apple. They’ve claimed no record of people calling on this issue other than me.
