now that the 2017 non touchbar is EOL and the whole non touch bar offering is totally gone, I'm appreciating my red headed step child machine even more.

Man, what a weird direction we've gone with these laptops year over year and unpredictable

Im excited for the new kb pro's whenever those come out, but just saying

having a physical escape key still feels so right

Can’t recall the last time I used the escape key to be honest, but I’m pressing it out of goodwill.

I think the non-Touch Bar is more convenient but the Touch Bar is more fancy.

But more than Touch Bar, it’s Touch ID that has become very nice to have.

For me it’s, do you want the convenience of having physical keys or the convenience of Touch ID.

It’s hard to choose tbh. But now that I have the 15” and no choice of physical keys I’m happy with Touch ID.

I agree, I don’t miss the physical keys at all.

Well, if your 2016 nTB 13" feels lux, my 2015 15" with a normal keyboard and ports and 11 cycles on the battery feels as extravagant as it gets.

Definitely a bit jealous I miss the old retinas despite a lot of the nice upgrades to the new design
