My old HDD in my new MP ?

I just got my new '09 2.26 octo and I installed the 1TB HD from my other MP '06 1,1 with Snow leopard. Everything seems to work ok but... What could be the downsides of this easy procedure?

Driver support. That's about it, your OS was operating in a known ecosystem (MB). This time it goes to the unknown so SL might not have the correct networking drivers, etc.
