if realized through talking with mac users that... once you go mac, you never go back... THE BEST WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO BUY MACS IS TO GET THEM TO TRY A MAC.... so my last suggestion is that there should be an edu price AND a FIRST TIME EDU price... a discount for all students buying their FIRST mac... if you offer them an extra 150-200 off then they will enjoy their purchase and continue to use mac for the rest of their long lives... apple needs to get students to use macs...

I will not get into comparing wintel and apple machines. I am glad you know the difference! The only thing i have to say is APRIL 19th we will see updates on ibook and/or powerbooks. This is basically certain. 1 week cant kill you, think about your options regarding the returning of your Dell. Furthermore, i also believe we will see a price drop, because, atleast for the powerbooks, these are the last g4 models.

the best part about this situation is that i bought the dell system at a time when if these rumors about monday are true, i can return my dell and buy a poewrbook without restocking fees, this could work out great if the there is both and update AND price decrease on powerbook

i wouldnt go that far.. i mean i called dell not 1 min after that rumor was posted about updates and it had just started shipping like 3 hours ago... haha if i could have got them before i could have said... delay my shipping one week... then i could have cancelled without paying the 20-50 dollars it will cost to ship back
