Alpha Centauri A
So my parents say I should quit my job and become an Apple Genius. But then it occurred to me while at the mall, why bother?

I can just as easily get a job as a Microsoft Smart Guy and sit around playing Xbox. I must've walked by the MS store nearly 20 times in the past couple months, and I've only ever seen 5 people in there tops. Why are they still trying?[/troll rant]

Maybe they want to have a son with an employee discount at the apple store and not at a windows shop.

Whoa. Good point.

Guy. You need to go work at the Apple Store. You know me, right? Cool. Send me discounted stuff.

I hate the term "Genius", especially when you're not one.(not you personally) "Smart Guy" sounds more realistic

Somewhat Knowledgeable Local Technology Store Associate would be best if you really want to get literal about it.

Well if you're not very smart, and they want you to be… what's wrong with that?

You're missing the point of having children then. If there's one thing my dad taught me, it's that kids are a great source of free manual labor.

Not if your daughter is like mine. Tends to work the other way in our house. The joy of an aspie daughter.

The point of having kids is to inspire them, encourage them, support them and most importantly love them!

Here endeth the lesson.

A real genius wouldn't be working in an Apple store :p

I think we missed the real question:

What is your current job? Because being the Genius doesn't pay very well yet they do require a couple certifications.

For example, if you're currently a hot dog stand vendor, I think being a Genius is a good direction to go.

A *real* genius would be better suited to cleaning up Android, and making it better than iOS.
