I have a 256 GB iPhone X and I don’t have that much data on here. A few hundred pics and half as many videos and 3 pages of apps. Yet it regularly freezes up when an app is open, and a lot of times it’s Facebook. I am jailbroken on 11.3.1 but I have never had this issue with jailbreaking in the past. It is frustrating because every time it freezes I have to reboot it and rejailbreak. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to avoid it? Thanks!

My best guess is that this is caused by a Teak.

Do the following:
  • Download iCleaner Pro
  • Inside iCleaner Pro, tap the + button
  • Tap Cydia Substrate Addons
  • Disable all addons and respring.
Check if the behavior of your phone is different. If nothing freezes, it's caused by a Tweak. So start by enabling Tweaks one-by-one and check your facebook app for freezing.

If there’s a JB for 12 it just dropped

Why was this thread moved to the Jailbreak forum?

I’ve been jailbroke on iOS 12 iPhone X for a little while not. I’m guessing that you maybe didn’t follow the news and save your blobs though. Might to tough to get to a jailbreakable version of iOS 12 now.

I would go with the iCleaner pro route personally. Seems to have helped a lot of people find out if there was a bad tweak that they had installed.

It dropped on the 3rd of February...

Because you are asking about a jailbreak issue....

And indeed now too late for iOS 12 JB, unless you have the proper blobs.

How does the JB compare to iOS 11.3.1 Electra?

Extremely stable and it has full cydia/substrate instead of limited substitute

Yep, unless you got lots of stuff running in the background, it should not be bogging down.

Delete FB and see if that helps, might need to do a clean install to eliminate the problem.
Would installing a newer version of Facebook help if that is in fact the problem?

It might, but if you uninstall and it is gone then that was it, if it re-occurs it is a different tweak/app, fault isolation 101...
