My phone only receives calls

I have had my i-phone for about 8 months. Last night I was texting and my screen went black! I thought that maybe I hadnt noticed a low battery so I went and plugged my phone in. Once I plugged it in, it showed a full battery. And the screen lit up for a second; however it went black again (like the hpone is dead) it has been nearly 24 hours and the only thing it will let me do is receive calls. Once the calls are received, I can not disconnect the other party has to disconnect from me...any suggestions???

Get an Apple store to look at it.

Try a hard-boot; holding down the home button and the on/off button at the same time. Definitely take it in to the nearest Apple Store...🙁
