the phone that lasted through everything... finally took its final tumble and it's done.
I'd buy an iPhone 4 now.

Then you will be more likely to be eligible for the iPhone 6 which is really going to be the one to have.

No matter if the next one ends of being the 4S or 5, it will be the last year before the big rollout of the A6 chip and the new combined OS. That's going to make a huge difference and will take maximum advantage of a well sorted out iCloud as well as the newer apps and software.

I have an iPhone 4, and have had every iPhone before it.

Yet I'm taking a pass on the iPhone 4S or 5, as I simply don't see any good reason to buy one. No matter what it has, it's not going to matter. A major upgrade like the A6 and new OS will be a super upgrade.

One I will definitely buy.

Fallow the Steps!!!! this is why I gave them to you. :p

Make a Appt, don't call you are more likely to get pity or help. have you ever seen how busy Apple stores are. ;) I know people that have there iphone driving over with a truck and got it replaced for 199. just be nice when you go.

BTW I love that you counted how many times you dropped it!

You have to make an appointment and go in to the store, as stated before. You may get lucky and get a free replacement, if you have a nice genius.

I don't believe this will work. If so, many would do this and just sell it to pay for the new contracted phone.

A naked phone in good condition looks good, not that cracked mess ;)

oh yeah, this one is terrible. my technology doesn't last 2 years, it lasts (in good condition) 1 year. i sold my iphone OG and 3G for a good amount of money because they only had hairline scratches. i should have taken it in to get it replaced because the dock port was cracking and it was a known issue. i'd have bought myself time....!

haha. i'm clumsy, but also hate cases. (if i bought one for the interim period i may actually case it to preserve resale value.) i'm not really nice to my technology, generally with the understanding i upgrade every year so it doesn't get to this point... but i got stubborn about the white iPhone 4...
