iPod touch My predictions for the September 1st event

So is it going to be crushing waves of cheers or the internet going ablaze again? Personally, I think I'm going to enjoy today since regardless of what is/isn't included, I still win. Go 1G users! We have made it a long time (in technology standards).

I heard elsewhere that the ipod touch will not be available for sale for about a week. I thought that it was usually available on the same day as the reveal.

A fellow 1G user. Apple is forcing us to upgrade because of our inadequete RAM. I'm getting a Droid X if they don't loose that chrome back (UGLY) and give me at least two of the other fancy features that that guy listed.
 
Call me a fanboy, but I will stick with Apple. I know that Droid is a worthy competitor and they have impressive features too. And I know Apple does things that defy reason from time to time. There is just something about it that works for me. Also, I like the smaller screens more than the big ones. I saw someone yesterday with a touchscreen phone (not sure which one). The screen was massive. I like the how the touch sits in my hand, and in the end, that's all that matters.

Two things.

1) Awesome multi smile effect. :D

2) After just getting off the phone with my local Apple store, according to what I was told (we don't know about any new products being announced at this time), is this their canned message? There is no way they could have a new product sitting in the back without knowing it. There are days where I curse their secrecy. Unfortunately, I'm aware that I'm playing right into their hands since the secrecy makes me even more interested.
