6s with a battery pack: apple battery case? Or the Plus? What will give me the longest battery life?

Will the 7 have better battery life than current models?

You are not telling us about your "battery pack".

The 6S+ will get the longest battery use, over the 6S.

The 7 and 7+ have slightly larger batteries but I suspect that the use will be about the same.

If you just plug it in when you sleep, most iPhone with normal and even higher use should last the day.

fixed it :)

My 5s doesn´t last a day with my use: couple of messages, iPod usage, couple of pictures.

I want a phone that I can trust to have some juice left. If **** hits the fan, I don´t want to see: "you have 20% left" at three o'clock mid-day

It´s hard to defend apples choice of battery power. Motorola puts 4000mA in theirs, why can´t apple do the same? Answer: they can, but they won't´, because we´re still buying their products

It could be you battery in your 5S needs replacing. My 6S+ come off the charger at 3:30 am and does not get back on the charger till 9-10pm. Never have less than 50% remaining. I consider myself a moderate user.

Battery size doesn't mean it will necessarily last longer. If the phone doesn't manage power very well then that 400mAh battery will still die quite quickly.

thats exactly what I´ll do if Apple doesn´t shape up! But you're experience with the 6s+ battery life gives hope. may I ask what are you doing up so late? :p

I am afraid I am a business owner with 37 employees and am at my desk by 4:30. It is the only time I can have peace and get my work done. I suspect you current iPhone needs a new battery as it should last a normal day and more.

Best of luck!

If that's all you do with your 5s I have a feeling that your battery is in need of replacement...

When I'm in the city I never have an issue making it through the day with my 6s (I'd call myself a moderate user, a typical day in the city involves a few phone calls, a bunch of text messages, a few emails, a little time listening to music and browsing a few web pages and typically I'm still somewhere between 40-60% remaining at the end of the day when it goes back on the charger). My work sometimes takes me to remote locations with poor cell reception and that definitely drains my battery a lot faster so I always carry a small battery pack to recharge the phone mid-day (on the go) if needed. This works perfectly for me but not everyone has the same use case.

The 6s Plus definitely has a longer battery life than the 6s but not everyone likes the size of the plus so I wouldn't make that decision based purely on battery life. Make sure the phone is also suitable to how you use it (and this is purely personal preference).

Leaks suggest the the 7/7+ will have larger batteries than the 6s/6s+ but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will have longer battery life as the larger batteries may only be to compensate for new features/components which consume more power...

do you think the 6s will become cheaper at carrier stores, when the 7 is released?

6s pricing should definitely go down at the Apple Store, but I'm finding that up here in Canada carriers have already started discounting the 6s by up to $150 compared to what they were charging at release so I'm not sure if they will further discount it when the 7 comes out. Also not sure if you are seeing the same thing where you live?

3:30am...what do you do for work/business?

Various companies make slew of battery packs and cases. If your only concern is battery life (you make little mention of screen size and other such things) you can easily make a 6s last 3x as long as a 6s plus (assuming you pick up a battery pack). Some products even allow for wireless charging. I have even seen a battery pack case with its own USB port to charge another device or peripheral straight from the case.

I would make my decision based on the size of phone I wanted and go from there.
