I do actually hope to see Apple come up with a "Pro" ultraportable machine. No matter how we fanboys try to justify it, let's just face it, weight wise Apple is far from being cutting edge.

Since they can't seem to come up with an actually 'Pro' (unless 'Pro' means graphic designers who obsessively baby their machines) portable in the first place, that would be quite a trick.

I tried a re-install but the problems continue with the X60. I think I may just go back to XP if I decide to keep it. My battery life and heat issues were not as bad under XP vs. running Vista. I don't think Vista is a bad OS at all as it runs like a champ on my desktop Core 2 Duo machine. If it does keep acting strange even under XP then I will send it in for repair before ever considering selling it to someone else.

You've probably got a hardware issue or you are not installing Vista fresh. Lenovo install a lot of spamware on your computer when you buy it. I hate all this extra software because it makes windows not work as well as it should. Upgrade from this mess to Vista and you are asking for lots of trouble.

Lenovo is indeed horrible about loading extra crap onto their computers. I did a fresh Vista install and I did a fresh install of XP Pro from an OEM disc. I have put XP back on the machine and everything runs fine again. Looks like Lenovo may just be having some driver/power management bugs that need to be worked out with Vista.

I decided on the 15" 2.16GHz MacBook Pro with matte screen. I upgraded the Ram to 2.0 GB and could not be more pleased. It is MUCH larger than the X60 but so much more functional... and no OS errors anymore! :)

I figured I would include some pictures below for your enjoyment

You can see the size difference between my X60 and MBP in this shot haha.
