I bought my Saddle Brown case about a week and a half ago and I have a question for those who own it...

First of all, this case was extremely hard to squeeze in... as in I had to strongly push in my iPhone and was afraid of something happening to it. After trying to break it in and putting it on and off, it finally slides in fine... BUT the volume buttons are very hard to push? Also, I notice towards the bottom right that my rose gray iPhone's side is exposed. As in, it can be seen from and it isn't that way on the left. I tried my husband's black cover and his was perfect. The volume buttons were easy to press and the side of my rose grey iPhone was not exposed on the bottom right. I have seen it on some pics on here, but most with a white face don't show that angle, funny enough. Is this normal?
Mine were very hard to press as well but have gotten a bit brtter. I followed advice on the thread about using the end of a teaspoon and your finger on the other side, pressing the buttons back and forth to break it in.

As for the bottom right, I had this issue and it was because my phone wasn't fully in the case. I had to use my thumb to push down on the phone and my fingers to pull the case up around the bottom right corner.

The buttons will break in with normal use.

The bottom corners of the case kind of flare out a little. I think this is by design. It'll break in. You just need to kind of push the phone in and push the corners out so the case comes up over the screen.

So how far or how forcefully do I need to push with the end of the teaspoon? I am pushing inside the case, right?

I tried that but eventually that side is exposed... Maybe because I put it on and off too much?

I've tried that but I still somewhat see it. Maybe it starts somewhat slipping through as the day goes by? It just seems weird that it doesn't happen with my husband's black case or my old 6+ leather case. Actually, try this - if you touch that bottom right part and compare it to the left, does it somewhat feel a little more indented and less pushed out like the other corners?

Maybe you can try getting a replacement from Apple. I don't see that on my current black one.

you don't need much force at all. you're using the butt end of a kitchen utensil to press the button like you would normally. the reason for the butt end of a utensil is because they're normally a rectangle shape that shapes the outside of the button and rounded so they won't scratch or damage the case. press it in with that and press it back out using your finger. very easy process to break ALL the buttons in.

my phone is not exposed but the times I put the case in, I normally press on the bottom edges of the phone to be more snug with the case. you start by putting the top corners of the phone into the case first, then the bottom.

the ebay one feels a lot more like the first gen (product red) leather cases. they felt nothing like the 2nd gen (saddle brown). they were OK but didn't like the vibrate cutout.

How's your red leather case holding up? Any black edges or corners yet?
It's been a full week and no black corners just yet, just a tad dark red on both bottom edges and up the sides a bit. I'll post some pictures in a few days when it shows more wear.

Just got the saddle brown today to match my classic buckle. Classy stuff. Pairs with my daswise nicely!

it will be easier and quicker if you break it in yourself. I did both of my cases, the saddle brown and red simply by using the butt end of a letter opener (the butt end of a kitchen utensil will work just as well) and pressing the button. using my finger to push it back out from inside the case and repeat a few times. you'll be surprised how much the buttons open up just by doing that. try it.

^^^ this!
Surprised me! The buttons are perfectly usable now!

Thanks!

about 2 weeks of using the Product (Red) iPhone 6 case and it shows very little wear. Still bright red with slight darkening on the sides just like the saddle brown from where my hand rest on the phone. the only visible wear is on the bottom edges. I haven't taken the phone out of the case since I put it in 2 weeks ago.
