Every morning when I open up my MacBook Pro, there are smudges on the screen. The night before, I did not touch the screen. I didn't touch it all day. Where are these smudges coming from? Does the screen touch the keys and the smudges are from the finger prints from the keys? That's all I can think of. No wonder Apple includes the little black cleaning cloth with the lap top.

Mine doesn't do that but some people claim their does. Are those smudges in the shape of a keyboard?

No, they don't have any distinguishing shapes, just roundish smudges.

I keep a sheet of blank printer paper to place on the keyboard before I close the lid.
Takes care of "finger oil" transfer, at least in my experience.
