Apple tends to ship it a week earlier for those with a 2-3weeks estimate. This happened to me last year. I always received them faster than estimate

It doesn't say ships 6-12 Oct, it says delivers 6-12 Oct, which is in line with shipping 5 days earlier. Did the original say ships or delivers 1-7 Oct?

Wow, i'm so glad that my shipping status still says "delivers: 9/25" for my 6s+ 64GB. I guess i ordered early enough.

I have learned over time not to preorder. There are so many venues to get it on launch day and not stand in line. Target, Radio shack, best buy, apple store, carrier store, carrier store in malls (they open the doors to malls early for the employees to open the store). Usually I just go by the small, but upcoming, mall and pick one up at the tmobile or att when I had them. I waited about an hour last year but got there almost 30 minutes after they opened so I had to wait for 2-3 people to get their accounts set up. I understand people who can't take time out of their schedule to be somewhere first thing on a work day though.

I've been steady at Oct. 16-23 with my Space Gray 6s Plus 128Gb. I'm hoping the 128Gb, which most people buy 64Gb versions, bought me some safety zone, literally!

My original status said shipping in 2-3 weeks October 1-7 and I just logged into see if anything had changed and it now says shipping October 7-12....
WTF????????????????????????

I would call and open a case. Should never have happened.

Join the club. I ordered a 64gb rose gold 6s plus through att and had oct 16-23 shipping dates, then the next day it was changed to oct 23-30.

I ordered at 11:49 pacific and got an email confirming that, then 6 hrs later another confirmation of order email but it then said my order time was 12:49. An entire hour later!

That is odd. Wonder if they are trying to perpetrate and bait and switch?

lol, I think that's what happens when you complain about the weight of the phone. Tim Cook saw it and decided to punish you.

If I ran Apple, I would do this and laugh my butt off. Would be hilarious. Oh, you think the phone is heavy, fine - yours gets delivered by sea! Oh, you think were no longer forward thinking? Fine, yours gets lost in transit just before it's delivered. BOOM!

There nothing to complain about. The shipping estimate (2-3 weeks) didn't change.

At first it gave the 2 week window (Oct 1-7), then the estimate switched to the third week (Oct 7-12). It's still being delivered within the timeframe that was initially given.

Mine said "ships 2-3 weeks" which should technically be no later than October 3rd. There is no reason why it would take from the 3rd until the 14th to get to me.

If this is the case, because they specifically stated "Delivers Oct 1st to 7th" they should deliver it using a more speedy method. No one held a gun to their head and said they needed to give me a delivery window if they wanted to play around with the "ships by" window.

It was not in the confirmation email , it was off the apple.com website
Sorry to hear that. I checked mine and it says "Delivers: 9/25 by Standard Shipping" I ordered it 15 minutes after the pre-order so... Stayed up all night just for this.

And no one held a gun to your head and made your order it. Your delivery date slipped; yes, that sucks, but **** happens. It's not some vast conspiracy by Apple to single you out and make your life difficult.

Saw yesterday that there is a constraint from the backlight supplier for 6S Plus. They have another supplier now but may slow some shipments. I hope ours aren't affected!

No one said they did, or that I said they were singling me out.

I was simply countering your explanation. I don't really give a **** if it slipped or not as I'm likely going to cancel the order anyway.
