Here's what I got out of the Keynote:

XServe G5: Good. I bet they sell a ton, although those air intakes are a tad ugly. But if it's a G5, who cares?

Virginia Tech: Great! We've all seen the numbers, and it's still impressive.

iLife was a bit of a bore. Anyone else get this? I got the feeling Steve-o was dragging out John Mayer, going through every single amp like that... I wasn't impressed. I play the clarinet, but I won't be buying iLife for GarageBand (or buying it at all)

Office: That "Roz Ho" (it looked like Ho on my webcast, I'm not making fun of her. It might have been "Ha".) was so annoying! Her voice sent chills down my spine and I wanted to smack her for being hideously boring. Office looks cool though.

15GB iPod: excellent. I think that they needed to separate the mini and regular line more.

iPod Mini: UGLY. The iPod minis are hideous! I don't care if they are anodized aluminum, they are hideous and would have been hundreds of times better in the regular iPod case. Maybe they couldn't use that case for some reason but the new cases are just ugly. Plus, look at it this way: "The best 50 dollars you can spend" is the jump from 256MB to 4 GB, a 3.75 GB difference. The next best 50 dollars you can spend is the jump from 4 GB to 15GB, a 11 GB difference.

It's amazing how so many of us expected a 149 price, I sure did. Maybe the extra hundred went into ****ing up the case.

I don't expect much from an Apple keynote, other than a good show. I don't care if Steve spent the entire Keynote breakdancing, because God knows he could pull off about an hour without many of us minding. But this one... tried my patience at a few points. And those cases are just hideous.

I sort of like the look of the iPod mini, (well, just the silver one), and I wasn't terribly interesting in anything else on offer, but if Steve Jobs spent the entire keynote breakdancing it would definitely be hard to beat.

I like the look of the new iPod mini, but I am really disappointed in Apple. I had no intentions of buying one because I have a 20GB Gen 3, but I feel it was a chance for Apple to step up and offer a no frills iPod for 175 or less. I mean what are the thinking....4GB $249, 15GB $299??? Only people wanting the style of the mini iPod will buy it. Yes it will sell, there is no doubt about that. Oh well thats my rant.
