a retina thunderbolt display with usb 3.0 ports... *drools* I'd buy one :)

That's what I'm hoping for. I have a Thunderbolt Late 2011 MacBook Pro and I really want USB 3.0 for affordable video editing external drives. This would save me buying a Belkin Thunderbolt dock which is gonna retail around $400. I'd much rather put the money toward a nice display as a hub.

No GPUs support that, at least not any that traditionally would fit in an iMac chassis. The max resolution of the 680M is 3840x2160.. which I guess sometimes gets classed as 4K. As a "Retina" display that would have an effective resolution 1920x1080, which is less "real estate" than on today's 27".

You never know, they could be integrating something like a RED Rocket card into the iMac...or providing it as an option...im just saying...Ivy Bridge does support 4K...

is it possible to have 2 mobile gpu on one board, but working at the same time for just 1 display? They could put them far away so the heat is not that much a problem...

There's a world of difference between "painting enough pixels" and "painting enough pixels frequently enough".

Yes it's possible, mobile crossfire and mobile SLI are well established tech, but not cheap. But then again, they dont need to do this to run "retina" resolutions. It would also require a complete redesign of the interior. Check out the pics of a current Imac tear-down and where things sit. I dont think SLI is in it's future, but crazier things have happened.

As of now, Mountain Lion GM still doesn't have SLI/Crossfire support, so I doubt it's coming in the new iMac. They could always add it as an update, but if there is a new OS coming out, soon to be released hardware is generally pre-integrated.
