first off. does anyone know where i'd post or call to seriously request a change from apple?

the biggest thing for me, is the volume bar while listening to music.why is it there? how often do you really change the volume? i know when i'm using it in the car i never do. i just use the audio controls on the car stereo.

so why not switch the volume bar with the progress bar? that way you can always see the progess bar, but the volume is still there in case you need it. i guess it's minor. i rarely play with a songs progress while driving. but i find myself looking at the progress bar often on my other music players.

or is this something that will be modifiable via the sdk thing i keep hearing about?

it would also be nice for the ipod to sense when the car is turned off and to auto pause and shut off when that happens.

or auto locking dims the display when it's playing a song instead of locking. why does it dim? i hate that. i dont want it to dim. i only want it to auto turn off to minimise my button pressing.

To fix the auto brightness go to Setting > Brightness then from there you can switch it to off.

i tried that. but it will still auto dim if you have auto lock turned on. if auto lock is turned off it will not dim.

i'll test that again. but i'm pretty sure i already did.

edit: i did test it. with auto brightness turned off. and auto lock set to one minute. with a song playing, the screen will dim. with auto brightness on and auto lock off, with a song playing, the screen will not dim.
